Local Dining in Rochester

It's so good to be back in Rochester - it's beginning to feel like my home away from home. I'm so fortunate to have access to a furnished apartment at The Hammocks at Canandaigua - there is so much to do and see, and I love having a kitchen to try some of the local specials.

One of the first places I like to stop when I'm in town is Amiel's. If you haven't had a sub that was prepared in Rochester or Buffalo, you don't know what you are missing. Amiel's makes their own rolls and roasts their own meats, including a roast beef that is some of the best I've ever had.

My favorite? The Bernie's Favorite. I get it on their sesame roll, toasted, with all of the veggies and horseradish sauce. Bernie's has their signature roast beef and house roasted turkey which is the perfect combo.

Lucky for me I'm here for 4 days, so I'm sure there's at least one more Bernie's in my future.
